Our plaques are made to order, choose from Cast Metal, Etched Zinc, Acrylic and Brass. These versatile materials are suitable for indoor and outdoor locations such as walls, stone plinths, pedestals or even as pavement inserts (which could be used along heritage trails). Etched zinc plaques
Preferred by architects and local authorities for commemorative and memorial plaques. The acid etching process allows us to work in zinc which is durable and sensitive to areas of historical interest. Suitable for outdoor locations, such as wall-mounted or pavement insets, can be created to a specific profile shape and are an ideal solution for heritage trails. Images including one-colour photographic portraits and detailed one-colour illustrations can be created using this process (please contact us to discuss specific requirements to achieve best results). Standard RAL colours are available for the background colour. Zinc plaques are not recommended for areas within 1km of salt water/sea spray.
Cast bronze plaques
For that premium heritage look and feel, cast bronze plaques are the tried and tested winner. Bronze plaques have been noted to have the potential to last over hundreds of years and definitely age with grace. Suitable for pavement insets and wall mounting, these beautiful penny finish cast bronze plaques will preserve and commemorate your message for many years. Due to the sand casting process, a more simple message is recommended.
Cast-coat ‘bronze effect’ etched zinc plaques
These acid-etched zinc plaques receive a sprayed coating of bronze filaments, which gives the plaques a bronze looking finish. For use where detail (i.e. illustration/image) is required but a bronze finish is also desired. Zinc plaques are not recommended for areas within 1km of salt water/sea spray.
Cast aluminium plaques
Traditional aluminium sand casting can help to provide a durable, historically sensitive finished plaque. Due to the sand casting process, a more concise message is recommended.
Acrylic plaques
Subsurface printed acrylic plaques are a cost-effective way of providing heritage or modern themed plaques with full colour/ photographic reproduction and the added benefit of tamper proof graphics. Available as standoff, pedestal mounted or backed with a powder coated backing plate for mounting on walls with uneven surfaces. All acrylic plaques are manufactured from UV resistant cast acrylic which is approved for outdoor use and carries a 10-year warranty against discolouration.
Brass plaques
Classic solid polished brass with etched and infilled text. Plaques are supplied with 4 x fixing holes, screws and domed cover caps. Hidden fixing option available or mounted on solid wooden plinths.
